WSEC
WSEC HistoryThe WSEC was founded by the Village of Westmont in 2004 with the goal of ensuring the continuation of quality community events that offer fun for the whole family. The organization was created as an entity separate from the Village municipal government to allow fundraising for community events. Initially, the Westmont Special Events Corporation focused on the coordination of the Taste of Westmont, an award-winning community festival typically held the second weekend in July. Over the years, the WSEC has taken on more responsibilities with the coordination and assistance with various community events such as Westmont Cruisin' Nights, Concerts in the Park, Artists in Action, and more. The WSEC and the Village of Westmont continue to work closely with each other to help ensure good communication while developing successful events for the entire community.WSEC Past Board MembersThe WSEC board and committes are comprised solely of community volunteers. Without their dedication and support, these wonderful special events would not be possible. We want to recognize our past board members and thank them for their great effort.Larry McIntyre (2004-2006) Dave Gullotto (2005-2009) John Svitak (2005-2009) Sharon Macak (2004-2006) Patt Kolar (2004) Pam Jahoda (2004) Glen Liljeberg (2004) Dan O'Kelly (2004-2007) Ron Westphal (2004-2006) Chris Gorman (2004-2006) Nancy Tannahill (2005-2007) Steve Ashby (2005-2006) Linda Sobotka (2006-2007) Kelly Svitak (2006-2007) Barb Sepulveda (2007) |
